Oscar’s Cuba: The Courage, Faith, and Hope of One of Cuba's Hidden Heroes

Join us for a special screening of this 60-minute documentary with comments afterwards from Jordan Allott, Executive Producer and Director.

Oscar’s Cuba – a 60-minute video documentary presented in Spanish and English – tells the story of Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet, a prisoner of conscience serving a 25-year prison sentence for the crime of “disrespecting the revolution” through his promotion of human rights, democracy and respect for human life in Cuba.

Oscar’s Cuba reveals the truth about the Cuban government’s unjust detention of Dr. Biscet and thousands of other human rights supporters. Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet is a physician and President of the Lawton Foundation for Human Rights, which peacefully promotes human rights and the rule of law in Cuba. He is the winner of numerous human rights awards, including the 2007 Presidential Medal of Freedom.
