With 36 member nations, the Visa Waiver Program allows foreign citizens to travel to the United States for up to 90 days without a visa. While opponents seek to bill the program as weak on security, the Visa Waiver Program is in fact a vital tool in fighting terrorism and strengthening collective security. By fostering information sharing and security partnerships, providing for the prescreening of passengers, and augmenting physical security, the Visa Waiver Program helps to ensure that dangerous individuals are stopped from entering the United States. Join us as panelists Marc Frey and C. Stewart Verdery, Jr. discuss the security benefits as well as the future of the Visa Waiver Program.
