Screening of “Terror in Mumbai”

This video is temporarily unavailable.

May is Protect America Month, the Heritage Foundation’s annual series of events and publications aimed at highlighting key national defense and homeland security issues. One of our featured events is a screening of the HBO documentary Terror in Mumbai, jointly hosted by the Embassy of India and The Heritage Foundation.

The film documents the three-day ordeal in which members of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization, Lashkar-e-Taiba, staged a series of shooting and bombing attacks which turned India’s largest city and financial capital into a war zone and killed more than 170 people. According to the documentary’s narrator, Fareed Zakaria, the attacks “served as a terrifying wake-up call, not just to India but to the rest of the world.”

Please, join us as we reflect on the lessons governments can learn from the Mumbai experience.

Reception with light refreshments will follow the film screening.
