Asia 2009: The View from Capitol Hill

This video is currently unavailable

Location: The Heritage Foundation's Allison Auditorium

What challenges will the new Congress, with a new Administration in Washington, face in Asia?  With the democrats in charge of both houses of Congress and the White House, which bills have the best prospects for passage and are any new legislative initiatives brewing?  Is a trade conflict with China in our future?  Where do relationships with our five Asia Pacific treaty allies stand?  Is the U.S.-Korea FTA a possibility this year?  How is India viewed on the Hill today?  Pakistan?  These are just a sample of the issues we hope to discuss with a distinguished bipartisan, bicameral panel of key congressional staff members. Join us for our annual examination of Asia policy from the Hill.
