Hu Jia, a Chinese human rights activist, has just received the
Sakharov Prize, awarded by the European Parliament. But Hu is
a political prisoner in China. A few months ago, eight
Vietnamese received the Hellman/Hammett Award for their work in
human rights. They are in prison in Vietnam. Our
panelists will reflect on the actual human rights situation in
these two countries.
