The Atlantic
bridge of partnership and friendship is built on the shared values
of liberty, democracy, respect for human rights and the free
market. These core values serve as central pillars of
security and prosperity for Europe and America. In the modern
security environment, the Atlantic bridge is as vital now as it has
ever been. New NATO missions are part of this and will be
discussed at the Bucharest Summit. The government of the
Czech Republic is of the opinion that Missile Defense, which would
protect all NATO member states, will reinforce this
cooperation. Homeland Security contains still unexplored
areas of cooperation. Even a positive step such as Visa
Waiver Program enlargement should be accompanied by the
strengthening of international travel security standards.
Join us as Prime Minister Topolánek reflects on these
critical issues.
