Cuba is aggressively spreading anti-Americanism throughout Latin
America and is deeply involved in backing and advising the
increasingly totalitarian and virulently anti-U.S. regime in
Venezuela. Since Raul Castro assumed the role of acting head
of state in 2006, Cuban intelligence services have intensified
their targeting of the United States, compromising U.S. military
operations. However, since 9/11, U.S. intelligence agencies
have reduced the priority assigned to Cuba. Yet, intelligence
secrets collected on the United States by Cuba have been sold to or
bartered with Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and other
regimes. Beijing is busy working to improve Cuban electronic
warfare facilities, allowing the Chinese army to monitor American
phone conversations and Internet transmissions. Join us as
our special guests assess these and other concerns regarding Cuba's
threat to U.S. national security.
