Iran's Rising Challenge: Nuclear and Energy Security Dimensions

Location: The Heritage Foundation's Lehrman Auditorium

Iran today poses a growing challenge to U.S. foreign policy across a broad array of issues, including the future of Iraq, prospects for Arab-Israeli peace, efforts to fight terrorism, nuclear proliferation, and international energy security.  Our two panels of experts will examine issues related to Iran's nuclear weapons program and the potential threat posed by Iran to the free flow of oil from the Persian Gulf.  The energy security panel will also explore the conclusions of an innovative energy crisis simulation conducted by Heritage Foundation analysts and outside experts regarding the economic impact of an Iranian-triggered oil supply disruption.
