Faith-based
ministries have long been successful in providing quality social
services to the needy. But standard process-based evaluations
often fail to register these life-changing transformations.
Moreover, as a result of this limited evaluation method, many
potential donors are not made aware of how their investment would
further these ministries. Outcome-based evaluation is a
leading tool for responding to this challenge.. Not only does this
discipline document the degree to which ministries achieve specific
goals, but it also helps faith-based organizations to be more
accountable both to those they serve and to those who fund them,
making them better stewards of their funds and increasing clients'
individual results. Ultimately, outcome-based evaluation begins a
cycle of continuing improvement and greater success. Hear three experts tell their
personal experiences with organizations, donors, and the public
policy community in helping to make good works great
works.
