Location: The Heritage Foundation's Lehrman Auditorium
In the spring of 1986, President Reagan took time out from
running the country to talk with his old friend National Review
publisher William Rusher about his conversion from liberal Democrat
to conservative Republican, his Hollywood years, his 1964 speech
for presidential nominee Barry Goldwater and the conservative
movement today. Excerpts of the exclusive interview were used in
Neal Freeman's award-winning PBS documentary, "The Conservatives."
But the uncut 35-minute version has never been publicly seen until
now.
Join us for this relaxed and revealing conversation with our
40th President of the United States.
