Location: The Heritage Foundation's Allison Auditorium
Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt lectured at The Heritage
Foundation on the situation in Iraq in November 2005. We are
pleased to welcome him back to speak about fighting a "Long War."
This topic is especially relevant since the recently released
Quadrennial Defense Review uses the term Long War to signal that
the War on Terror will continue to be a protracted fight. General
Kimmitt currently serves as the Deputy Director for Plans and
Policy, United States Central Command. He will discuss the
fundamentals of fighting a Long War, and will engage in discussion
with the audience for an extended question and answer period.
