Heritage Event: President Reagan's Legacy and U.S. Nuclear Weapons Policy

This discussion - held fittingly on what would have been Ronald Reagan's 95th birthday - will address his visionary approach to nuclear weapons policy as President of the United States. Author Paul Lettow will examine how President Reagan devised policies designed to eliminate the possibility nuclear war. Baker Spring of The Heritage Foundation will discuss the lasting impact President Reagan's policies have had on the United States' nuclear deterrent by examining our current nuclear posture, how we will maintain our deterrence in the future, and how President Reagan shaped the policies that continue to keep Americans safe today and into the future.
