Options for Maintaining a Robust, Adequate and Efficient Military Industrial Base: The Advantages and Disadvantages of Targeted Protectionism and Nationalization Models

Location: The Heritage Foundation's Lehrman Auditorium

One of the most important issues in national security today is the state of America's military industrial base. Identifying problems that Congress faces with the military industrial base, proposing solutions, and developing a method to help Congress understand the actual effect industrial base legislative efforts will have are components of a major Heritage Foundation project currently underway. Crucial to any legislative effort is an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to safeguarding America's military industrial base. Please join us as U.S. Representative Donald Manzullo and our distinguished panelists analyze the targeted protectionism and nationalization models.
