"Don't Ask If You Like Europe..."

Location: The Heritage Foundation's Van Andel Center

Benjamin Franklin, who lived for many periods in London and Paris, knew the importance of ideas better than anybody. A patriot, in all respects, he was asked if it was not hard to be outside America for so many years. Benjamin Franklin remarked: "Where liberty is, there is my country."

Therefore, don't ask if you like Europe. Ask instead what Europe you like. Try then to support your friends with the same ideas as you have, wherever your friends are.
