Reforming Labor Regulations For The 21st Century

Location: The Heritage Foundation's Van Andel Center

Over the last three years, the Department of Labor has been a hotbed of regulatory reform. Whether it's shaking up how unions are run by revising financial disclosure rules or updating overtime regulations that have been largely unchanged for nearly forty years, the Labor Department has been anything but quiet. Join us as Deputy Secretary Steven Law, who has been in the middle of these significant shifts in labor policy, addresses the Labor Department's current reform agenda.

Law, a graduate of Columbia Law School, has been a top Senate aide, serving as Counsel to the Chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee, and was Labor Secretary Elaine Chao's Chief of Staff before being nominated and confirmed for the post of Deputy Secretary.
