The Future of the Free Trade Area of the Americas Negotiations

The Heritage Foundation's Lehrman Auditorium

At the next Free Trade Area of the Americas trade ministers' meeting that the United States will host November 20-21 in Miami, the 34 democracies in the Western hemisphere will review the status of the FTAA negotiations and what should be the main areas of work to complete the trade agreement on schedule by January 2005. Ambassador Wilson will discuss the key issues on the table, U.S. priorities, and how he sees these negotiations progressing over the coming 16 months
