Rebecca Eddy de Broekert was responsible for communicating the mission of The Heritage Foundation, as well as its effectiveness in promoting conservative values, to Heritage members living in the Southern region of the United States. 

Before joining Heritage in 2006, de Broekert worked at the Leadership Institute, where she had served as a Major Gifts Development Officer with responsibility for donor relations in a six-state region. Before that, she worked as Director of Donor Relations for Enterprise Development International, and as Assistant Director of Development for the National Fatherhood Initiative and Judicial Watch.

Before entering the nonprofit sector, de Broekert gained four years of successful sales experience as a Senior Account Executive at WAVA, Salem Communications' flagship station in the Washington, D.C., area. While there, she received the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award for sales billing in 2001 and 2002.

De Broekert spent two and a half years in Johannesburg, South Africa, focusing on religious studies at Rhema Bible Training Centre. 

De Broekert was responsible for members in the following states:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia.
