SUPPORT THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION: BUILDING THE NEXT GENERATION

The Heritage Foundation has completed renovation of the eight-story building that was donated by the Johnson family and is attached to the current Capitol Hill headquarters.

The newly renovated building offers nearly twice as much space -- from 65,000 square feet to 128,000 -- without moving from our current location only three blocks from the U.S. Capitol.

Heritage members were able to meet the pressing challenge facing the foundation -- renovating the 74-year-old donated building and converting it into a state-of-the art headquarters for conservative thought and action in the 21st century.

The added space has allowed us to expand our staff, generate more studies, defeat liberal myths, hold larger media events, house conservative interns, and increase our effectiveness at returning America to the values of the Founding Fathers.

In addition to three floors of housing for Heritage interns, expanded office space, and a new media center, the building includes special facilities such as The Norma Zimdahl Conference Center, a high-tech meeting facility, and a new 235-seat auditorium, named in honor of Heritage Trustee Douglas Allison and his wife, Sarah.

The Dale and Jacquelyn Phelon Roof Terrace provides a 360-degree view of the Washington skyline and is the perfect setting for receptions and special events. And the first floor of the new building features the Lee and Sally Klinetobe Lobby, home of the Building for the Next Generation Wall, featuring the names of Heritage supporters who helped make this expansion possible.

Our expanded headquarters serves as a towering tribute to our influence today and our vision for the future. As Heritage President Ed Feulner reminded Heritage members touring the new facilties, "Your generosity paid for the steel and stone and mortar and class. But your belief is what endows this building with its far-reaching purpose."
