Arab-Israeli Conflict

Although Israel has successfully made peace with Egypt and Jordan, its efforts to negotiate a peace with the Palestinians was sabotaged by continued Palestinian terrorism. Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, a longtime practitioner of terrorism, was part of the problem, not part of the solution. The Hamas-dominated Palestinian government continues to support terrorism and block any hopes of a genuine peace.
