November 18, 2009-A Washington-based educational institute says the number of university students who study abroad is on the rise. The Institute of International Education reports a 60 percent increase in the number of students studying outside their native country since the year 2000.

International Students Come to United States in Record Numbers
November 16, 2009-The number of international students at colleges and universities in the United States increased by 8% to an all-time high of 671,616 in the 2008/09 academic year while the number of “new” international students — those enrolled for the first time at a U.S. college or university in fall 2008 — increased by 16%. This represents the largest percentage increase in international student enrollments since 1980/81.

Our collaboration with these sites uses local platforms in Chinese to communicate directly with the Chinese people. November 07, 2009-The conference focused on some interesting concepts of cultural diplomacy. The panelist came to the conclusion that the US does not value a nationally defined culture. When trying to promote cultural diplomacy (aka trying to get money from the US government) it becomes tricky. But here’s the thing, the US culture is this idea that we don’t have a defined culture. That’s a part of what makes ‘us’ us.
