Even talking heads on the Left acknowledge that moral values was the issue that sent President George W. Bush to a second term in office. One out of five voters said values mattered most as they cast their vote for President. Consider:

• Conventional wisdom held that job-beleaguered Ohio and West Virginia would come out for Senator John Kerry’s line on the economy. Both gave the nod to President Bush.

• Alaska, a relatively libertarian state, voted against decriminalizing marijuana – despite the proposition to do so vastly out-funding the movement to keep it criminalized.

• The eleven referenda to preserve the definition of marriage all succeeded overwhelming.

In the wake of this evidence, former Reagan and George H. W. Bush Administration official and noted author, William J. Bennett, will consider the following questions: Just where did this movement come from? For that matter, where is it going? And how could the opinion-making elite on both coasts have possibly gotten it so wrong?
