The Federal Trade Commission and its Chairman, Timothy Muris, have been at the center of the national debate on the implementation of a national do-not-call registry list. Yet the FTC's activities go far beyond do-not-call. One of the nation's oldest regulatory agencies, the Commission has broad authority to regulate trade practices, leading some to dub it the "national nanny." Yet, Chairman Muris says he is seeking to lead the agency on a different course. Please join us as we host a "Conversation with the Chairman" to address the direction of regulatory reform he envisions at the FTC.
