Clint Bolick, Institute for Justice vice president and national director of state chapters, is a nationwide leader in the effort to defend school choice programs, with victories in the Wisconsin, Ohio and Arizona Supreme Courts and culminating in Zelman v. Simmons-Harris in the U.S. Supreme Court.

With the federal Constitution removed from the arsenal of school choice opponents, the Institute for Justice is taking the battle for parental liberty to the states, launching a wave of lawsuits challenging discriminatory state constitutional provisions that could hinder choice programs. Together with other school choice organizations, IJ aims to clear the way for effective school choice programs by securing a national precedent in the U.S. Supreme Court. IJ is already defending Florida's pioneering Opportunity Scholarship program and recently filed school choice suits in Maine and Washington State, with additional challenges to come. Please join us as Bolick discusses these and other important issues facing School Choice.

Mr. Bolick's forthcoming book, Voucher Wars: Waging the Legal Battle over School Choice, will be published by the Cato Institute in March 2003.
