Political philosophers, ancient and modern, argue that the cultural battle is as important as the political battle in preserving a good society – and perhaps even more important in the long run. Why then have conservatives long ceded one of the most important cultural battlegrounds – Hollywood – to the Left? Or have they?
Veteran screenwriter Steve Finefrock says that although outnumbered, conservatives such as Cyrus Nowrasteh, writer of the much discussed ABC film “Path to 9-11,” have been successful in Hollywood. Finefrock, who founded the Hollywood Conservative Forum, will analyze how Hollywood really works and suggest how conservatives from the Pacific Palisades to the Potomac can learn to play the game – and move it to the Right.
[Steve Finefrock is in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with the American Film Renaissance, which will run from September 26-29 in four venues in the Washington, D.C. area.]
