The Soviet Story tells the story of the Soviet regime and how the Soviet Union – an Allied power at the time – helped Nazi Germany instigate the Holocaust as well as the slaughter of its own people on an industrial scale. 

Filmed over a two-year period in Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, France, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, The Soviet Story –

a story of pain, injustice and realpolitik – presents a unique insight into recent Soviet history, told by people, once Soviet citizens, who have firsthand knowledge of it.
