Despite media-driven myths of American economic decline, record-high employment and surprisingly strong labor productivity growth reveal a very prosperous future for the American worker, but not a future devoid of risks. Old skills become irrelevant faster and more suddenly, and the pressures of a globalized labor market are growing. What are the skills and jobs of the future?

Panel II: Labor Laws – Ripe for Reform? -

Are federal labor laws relevant for the 21st Century? Panelists will explore the need to reform federal laws regarding pensions and other benefits, immigration, and unemployment insurance.
