Burma, Laos, and Cambodia are vastly overshadowed by their neighbors, geographic and demographic giants like China, India, and Indonesia.  Economically, as well, they are far behind developments in the region.  The most visible of the three in Washington is Burma – but that only by virtue of its dismal human rights record.  What is going on in ASEAN’s forgotten tier of underdeveloped countries?  What are their prospects for development, both economic and political?  What is the extent of Chinese and other outside influence?  And what does all this mean for ASEAN and the U.S. position in the region?  Join us as these and other questions are addressed by our panelists.
