Why do some stand resolved in the face of terror and others fail?

Many today are naïve about human nature, differences between good and evil, and the lessons of history. Many were so in Churchill’s day. In the last century, the ‘spirit of Munich’ believed that the enemies of human freedom could be cajoled and appeased, because, in the end, nothing was truly worth fighting for. Today, the Free World again has a choice to make … to learn from the lessons of the past … to look to the “spirit of Munich” … or to follow the “spirit of Churchill.”

In a moving, historical account, author Deborah Brezina examines the principles used by Churchill to combat the evils of Nazism and applies those same principles to the War on Terror and radical Islam in a post 9/11 world. She provides an inspiring portrait of a leader with unmatched conviction and courage who never gave up in the fight for what he believed was right.

DEBORAH BREZINA serves on the National Advisory Board of the Churchill Archives Centre (Cambridge, England) and is a member of the Board of Trustees of The President James Monroe Memorial Foundation. She holds a B.S. in Education from the University of Houston, is a former classroom teacher in public and private schools, and serves on the faculty of Summit Ministries. She resides in Knoxville, TN.
