Almost one year after the beginning of the war, Iraq has been radically transformed under the U.S. occupation. Iraqis have hammered out a constitution and are debating how to form a provisional government and set up a political framework for establishing a stable democracy. This panel will address the question of what has changed inside Iraq in the last year, discuss the implications for U.S. national security and foreign policy, and explore issues that must be resolved in the days ahead to assure a bright future for Iraq.
