We are at war. After September 11, 2001, Congress authorized the President to use all necessary force to defeat al Qaeda and similar terrorist organizations that still pledge to destroy us. In every war, it is the Commander-in-Chief’s duty to try to intercept the military commands of the enemy. The President has stated clearly that it is vital to our war effort to intercept potential wartime communications to and from al Qaeda soldiers and saboteurs in this country. Therefore, the National Security Agency’s Terrorist Surveillance Program (TSP) was created. Some individuals, however, are asserting that the TSP is targeting every American citizen. National security experts are concerned that such leaks and politically motivated grandstanding are having damaging effects on our war effort. Join us for a frank examination of the Terrorist Surveillance Program and its place in the defense of our liberties.
