Taiwan’s citizens will go to the polls on January 12 to elect a new Legislative Yuan (usually called the LY), the island republic’s parliament.  It will be the first election under an entirely new system, where the LY’s seats have been reduced by half.  Voters will get two ballots, one for candidates in the district in which they live, and one for party preference.  In addition, two contentious referenda will be placed before the electorate.  Join us as our experts examine, dissect and evaluate the results of this significant vote.
