CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND ECONOMICS (CITE)

Terry Miller (email), Director

The Center for International Trade and Economics (CITE) provides state-of-the-art research on the role that free markets and democracy play in fostering economic growth in countries around the world. CITE’s mission is to promote global economic freedom by making it the key principle of U.S. international economic policy.

CITE produces the annual Index of Economic Freedom, co-published with The Wall Street Journal, and works with other pro-trade think tanks and economic groups to inform members of Congress, the media, and the public about the relationship between free trade, economic freedom, and prosperity. CITE also keeps its audiences abreast of the effectiveness or failure of the major international financial institutions.
