Policy Analyst, Empirical Studies

Conducts quantitative analyses on a wide variety of social policy issues, including education/academic achievement, welfare/poverty, immigration, and marriage/family issues. The Analyst also supports the data and statistical requests of other non-technical analysts working on these issues. The Analyst will write policy papers, opinion articles for newspapers and magazines, Backgrounders, and CDA Reports on these and other issues. incumbent will support other research of the Center for Data Analysis, when needed, on topics such as tax, budget, and social security reform.

Education:
Ph.D. in a relevant social science, or M.A./M.S./M.P.P. with substantial experience

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years in data analysis/statistical methods for policy analysis (5-7 with master's degree only).

Computers:
SPSS, STATA, Microsoft Office, Internet, database management. Computer programming skills a plus.
